I just joined this site, so let's see how this goes.

I'm trying to find a balance between my work life, school life, and artistic life. I work full-time in Accounts Receivable for a health insurance company during the day. But I'm aiming for a career in something different, so I am going to school part-time for a degree in Information Technology. I'm also a musician who plays the piano/keyboards. I record music in my spare time. I used to be in a rock band that played out shows regularly but after I decided to go back to school, I've unfortunately had to temporarily leave my music at recording at home and playing out just occasionally.

I go to a lot of shows for local and national bands and most of my friends are in "the scene". They are wonderful, but it's not always the best place to meet someone romantically.

I like a lot of different genres of music. I'm classically-trained but I love a lot of modern music. I'm really into a lot of artists from the 90s. Some of my favorite artists: Faith No More, Kate Bush, Hole, Ours, Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, Ladytron, Nine Inch Nails, Outkast, P.M. Dawn, The Sounds, Bat For Lashes, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Madonna, Bjork, Mozart, Debussy, Bach, Beethoven. MANY others.

I'm looking for a man who is:
-Artistic but also logical.
-The type who enjoys going out to see live bands perform.
-Responsible but still has a little bit of free-spiritedness in his personality.
-Someone who likes to go out sometimes and be social, but also can enjoy a quiet evening at home.
-Not a far-right winger.
-Not a sports fanatic.

Ethnicity is not important. I think there is physical beauty (and ugliness) in all types of people. And I care about what's on the inside.
Religion is a little different. I am respectful of most other religions, but as far as being in a relationship with someone, I'd much rather date someone who is not very religious. This doesn't mean I want someone who is amoral (and if you think secular automatically means no morals, then you obviously are very misinformed and not someone I would be interested in whatsoever). I consider myself to be a moral person and my own beliefs and ethics are what drive me to do good and I also agree with a lot of Humanist principles.
