I'm a local girl, born and raised in St. Louis. I left for a number of years; moved away for college, have lived overseas in Norway and The Netherlands and taught middle school art, reading and special education in Colorado. I returned to the area a few years ago in order to pursue my doctorate in chiropractic (4 more months to go!!).

I enjoy St. Louis due to the fact that it's a large city with a small town feel. People are friendly and things are pretty laid back, yet it's rarely dull with all that there is to see and do. I love getting out to Forest Park and the attractions there. A rainy day spent at the Art Museum or Science Center is always fun and, taking in some sunshine and relaxing on Art Hill or at The Boathouse on nicer days. I was recently at the zoo where the penguin house is a favorite of mine. I never get bored or tired of taking the tram up the Arch and I always have a blast at the City Museum...I guess I'm just a kid at heart. On random nights out with friends you can catch me anywhere from shooting pool or playing darts to catching a concert at The Pageant to seeing a good movie. I'm usually up for almost anything.

I'm a pretty independent person, usually needing a little bit of time each day for myself, yet always look forward to enjoying the company of those I care about. I'm blessed in the way that I have a wonderful family and some close friends that I can always count on. I usually march to the beat of my own drummer, but make a very conscientious effort to understand others and do well by them, and expect the same treatment in return. I tend to have an open-minded and forgiving nature and believe that it's not our abilities, but our choices that make us who we are. I rarely hold grudges, but if you've ever been described more than once as thoughtless, complacent, avoidant, shallow or arrogant, we probably won't get along.

All-in-all, I'm pretty easily described as fun, easy to talk to, genuine and compassionate. I'm not a big party girl as I've always preferred spending time with small groups of close friends instead of large groups of several acquintances. I guess I get sensory overload, otherwise. I have a quirky, sarcastic and sometimes twisted sense of humor. Some might label me a dork (a label I'm not ashamed to wear). I consider myself to be stylish but not high maintenance, practical but open-minded and down-to-earth but warm and sincere.

Always fun: Botanical Gardens, bowling, shooting pool or playing darts, the zoo, coffee, a walk through the park, mini-golf, City Museum, Dave n' Buster's, art shows, car shows, festivals, sporting events, grilling out in the park followed with frisbee or rollerblading....

BASICALLY, I hate the idea of sitting across from each other in a loud and/or smokey bar yelling questions and answers...I prefer doing more active things.
