My relationship style includes open communication and sharing activities and interests. An educated man with intellectual interests as well as a dedication to fitness would suit me. I love dogs, horses, rabbits, and birds, but I am allergic to cats. I'm an affectionate and caring person and expect those qualities in return. I love learning new things; I love museums, ancient history, good movies and music . . . I love to get out in the woods and hike for a few hours, whether it's winter or summer! A hiking partner, especially a wildlife photographer, would make a great companion.

I've always been attracted to men who could make me laugh. I do appreciate a cynical sense of humour, perhaps more than a silly sense of humour, and even a dark sense of humour sometimes suits my mood. You don't have to be Woody Allen, but intellectual wit is good too . . .

One of my long-term commitments is to animal welfare, and currently I'm involved in dog rescue and the anti-bsl movement. I donate items to the SND auction for Special Needs Dobermans. Also, I'm a webmaster with a dog care website.

My recipe site, gourmand2go.com, is a life-long research project that finally has a web presence. I took a nutrition course as an undergrad; it was a 3rd year kinesiology core course--everyone should take a nutrition course--so my recipes tend to be nutritionally balanced and low in fat.
