Hobbies- I play the drums. I'm learning how to play the guitar. I like to exercise. Boxing/kickboxing. Hiking, jogging. Reading. Meditation.
Goals- I'd like to contribute to the musical continuum. Not in a way that is measured by popularity but by inspiration and influence.
I'd like to get to the point of proficiency in meditation so that the baser instincts may be transcended in hopes of achieving a more harmonious existence.
Also to buy a vacation house in the country.

Myself- I do what I feel not what mass mentality dictates. I'm tough but nice (imagine that). I'm patient, something which is seen less and less these days. I don't get road rage. I don't watch much TV. I tend to be more of a cat person than a dog person. Although I do like dogs as well. Actually, I like dog-like cats and cat-like dogs.
Music- I like some popular music but I especially like obscure and unusual music. Classic rock is bread and butter to me. I love 70's progressive rock, extreme metal, 60's be-bop jazz, free jazz, electronic ambient, some classical. I'm pretty much all over the map musically but the one common factor is that the music has to be stimulating in one way or another.

For the first date I'd prefer casual to take the pressure off. Maybe a lunch date or a mini hike. Just something to get familiar without feeling like we're going to a high school prom.
