My hobbies include writing, listening to (VERY) different styles of music, going to shows (not as much these days, but if something comes along, I will definitely not rule out going to check it out), and going out to fun little hang out spots. A note about hang out spots: I'm thinking of where alcoholic not only is not a requirement, but is a somewhat unusual element, where the tone is laid back but a little sophisticated. I prefer slightly intellectually stimulating conversation, but I don't expect you to break a sweat or debate with me about anything (I am terrible at debating in the first place and avoid it whenever possible).

My goals and aspirations are to be a successful writer (success is measured differently by every person, so, get to know me, and maybe we both can figure out a little better what the other aspires to achieve--maybe we can learn about our own selves, in the process; that would be neat. :) I'm always up for self-exploration), or maybe to make great music that lasts. Whatever it is that my heart leads me towards, I want to leave an impression on someone, whether it be in their heart, or in the way they approach a general philosophy in life. Even if the extent of their enjoyment out of whatever they get from me is a couple minutes or an hour of good times and a minute of reflection, then I am satisfied.

I can't say for certain what makes me unique, as I've lived with myself (without much choice, for better or worse) for 24, going on 25 years. But I can tell you that you will most likely not leave the day behind with an upsetting impression of me; this is one thing I pride myself on, and there isn't a whole lot. But that's not to say I don't believe that what good I have to offer is special; I've been told that it is by my fair share of people who matter the most to me. Nevertheless, make of me what you will, but I encourage you to meet me, and get to know me!

As mentioned, my tastes in music vary greatly. I can go from Boris (drone metal) to Radiohead in a single sitting; from Brand New to the Sex Pistols. I enjoy Modest Mouse and Creedance Clearwater Revival, Tool (my favorite, and has been for 10+ years), Tiesto, Muse, and a cornucopia of other styles of music.

The first date, I'm kinda hoping, will consist of someplace where fun and interesting conversation will be had. I want to meet and talk to a girl who is cute, sweet, funny, smart, and willing to listen to a different perspective, so bring those things along with you. :) Something I'm not normally accustomed to, is something I'm willing to try for the first time, so bring it on, especially if you are familiar with this area, because I'm not! I'm not too into crazy, fast-paced activity, especially for a first date, but give me a whirl anyway, you never know what I might be feeling on a particular day, OR given that particular girl who catches my interest in some way or other. Coffeehouses are a good way to catch my interest very quickly, and very deeply. But that isn't to say the same affect could not be had going to any other place else you might suggest or know of. :) I love to talk, but I do because I love to listen, so keep that in mind. :)
