About Me
I am a serious Christian and am seeking someone who is like minded in faith. In all things our first purpose must be to love and serve God, and to love our neighbor, who was created in His image. Of course - I fall far short of that goal, but am always seeking to attain it. I am new to South Florida, would love to meet people just to get together, to have intriguing conversations and debates (yes even arguments!), to enjoy ourselves and one another and our surroundings (So. Fla. is such a beautiful place), and of course the presence of God. As far as music, hobbies, goals etc... here goes - I don't prefer "dirty" music or music that will place me in a bad state of mind, other than that I have pretty broad tastes in it. Very broad. Currently I've been able to spend a lot of time riding a bike, down to the beach, and swimming. I've taken a few days to explore the area, local attractions, etc... it would be much better to do with company, rather than alone - but I prefer alone to bad company! I don't know if it's really a goal, or just something to do in the "meantime", but I moved to South Florida in hopes of settling down in a family oriented area, finding a nice Christian girl, a good congregation, a livable job, and contentedly living out my days in service to God in this way.
First Date
I would get nervous, probably get lost on the way there and show up late. Once settled in I would start to feel like everyone around is looking at us and can tell we're on a first date. Then I would overdo it trying to carry a conversation along, getting uncomfortable whenever there is silence. At some point I'd excuse myself to go to the restroom and then while I'm in there I'd wonder if (you)'d take the opportunity as an excuse to conveniently "get lost" or just blatantly bolt, or if you'd make excuses to the waiter or someone else nearby to explain your embarrassment at being seen with me. As things start to wrap up I'd start wondering if I should try to kiss (you) goodbye, or if that would be an embarrassing miscue, this despite the fact that I won't feel like kissing (you) - because you'll probably wear lipstick because it's a 'date' - and I'd start looking for a way to confirm some form of followup contact, or if I get the feeling (you) don't want that then I'll try to give you an "easy out" because I value forthrightness over politeness and if (you) did something like casually say "talk to you tomorrow" I would take it as a binding social contract.
That's why I try to stay away from 'first dates' and instead just want to get together to hang out and do something.
