About Me
I'm not the best when it comes to talking about myself so bear with me ;)
It says in bright red type that to be successful, and not waste my time, to talk about my hobbies. Well then, here goes....first and foremost I play soccer. I'm in a competitive mens league and so far this season we're getting whipped haha. It's a little tough when the opposing teams are fielding 19 and 20 year olds, but I love it nonetheless. I also do some computer repair/maintenance for friends.....yes, I know, exciting! I do other things as well, though revealing everything would ruin the surprise....and make this just a tad too long.
Goals and Aspirations, eh? Well for now I run a restaurant, it's fun at times, stressful at others. Basically it pays the bills ;) It was supposed to do more than that but since the economic climate isn't the greatest, money that was promised hasn't been produced. It's time for a change and by that I mean back to school(cue Billy Madison song). Come January I'll be taking night classes to prepare my brain for full time college next September. Something in the Medical field but I'm leaning towards Cardiovascular Technologist.
What makes me unique? Hmmm, that's tough to answer because it's probably the things that I don't notice. Such as when you meet someone and you see their smile is a little crooked or their eyes scrunch when they laugh. I could say "I'm spontaneous!" or whatever but then a dozen other people have the same thing written. If you want to find out what truly makes someone unique you need to get to know them.
Music used to be around me constantly, I played Bass in a band, Dj'd in highschool(not spinning, actual old school rock dj) and followed indie Canadian music but have since lost touch. I've seen the majority of my favorite bands live - Soundgarden, Crystal Method, NIN, Cypress Hill, No Doubt, Garbage, Jack Johnson, The Tea Party and a ton of others. Still need to cross Pearl Jam, STP and Muse off of my list. I go to a couple concerts here and there, the last being an Ensiferum/Amon Amarth show in Toronto. What I listen to now is a blend of old bands that I loved to some newer ones that friends have introduced me to. I enjoy all genres to a degree.
I'd like to meet some people, get to know them and then see where things lead. I'm somewhat busy so I don't want to jump right into anything. Of course if the right woman comes along, who am I to deny my heart. Yup, that was pretty sappy.
Want to know more? Feel free to ask, I'm a pretty friendly guy and generally respond to everyone.
To end this I will leave you with some random(and hopefully interesting) tid bits....
- I plan on living beside a body of water when I retire. Ocean, Sea, Lake...doesn't matter.(Before retirement would be even better) - I hate Custard - I had a cat named Dexter who was the only kitten in his litter. He lived to be 14 human years old and had the strength of 10 cats. I truly loved him. - I have taken Kickboxing and Jiu Jitsu but have never been in a fight - I'm terribly unphotogenic. I'm quite handsome in person ;) - I can't stand text speak - wat r u up 2 2nite --- Seriously?
First Date
I'm pretty easy going so a first date would probably be a collective effort. If the lady in question decides that I should set it up I'd probably suggest meeting in the early evening, grab a drink, grab a small bite to eat (an app or two to share)go for a walk somewhere scenic(weather permitting). Just lots of conversation.
Or for just an awesome time, in my opinion, the Toronto Zoo or Wonderland. Cotton Candy and Roller Coasters trumps every other first date option.
