OK -- Gotta say this right off the bat.... I'm going out of town for most of December so really won't have any opportunities to meet any of you 'till the New Year. I made all my holiday plans way before signing up on Plentyoffish and need to keep them. It IS a deterrent to meeting anyone this month, but if you can wait, we can communicate via email initially and take it from there. Sorry if I lose a great chance at new love but plans and planes have been arranged.

I'm on this site because it's helping to broaden my opportunities to meet men and h-o-p-e-f-u-l-l-y develop a wonderful relationship. With that stated let me add please, as much as I desire to spend time with the right man, I still need some alone time. As I hope you would too. Please have hobbies/activities that don't include me. A healthy relationship is based on trust and understanding. I'm holding out for someone who can embrace this concept and live it! We must retain our independance to some degree besides revel in each other's company. A big fantasy is to travel w/a mate. To find a man in the position of being flexible enough to travel with me...yummy.

I obviously enjoy travel, learning new languages, cultural differences facinate me, camping, intellectual discourse, playfulness, keeping in shape mentally and physically, being feminine but not afraid to get dirty, art and museums, good dining, cooking, swimming, reading, I used to dance up a storm, doing artwork, cultivating great friendships, devotion to family and
friends/lover, animals, yoga, tai chi/chi quong, movies/tv, organizing, home decorating, etc etc . I am bi-cultural having been raised in another country for much of my life so I'm not American in all ways.

As an aside, If you smoke cigarrettes or cigars ... I'm very allergic so can't date men that indulge! Also I'm not attracted to men w/huge bellys, facial hair, long hair or someone out of shape :( sorry one must fancy their mate, no?

I appreciate male energy and our differences (most of the time). I've learned how to be straight forward w/men (learned this from men along w/other important things like...keeping my tools clean and stored and washing my car windows :) and don't play immature girlie games of trying to make anyone guess my feelings/mood etc. I'm not stuck on stereotypical roles but enjoy being a woman. I'm pretty self-confident, secure and a go-getter in life. I also require that any man I'm involved with has to have good hygiene, be intelligent, helpful, honest and hopefully sensitive. It should be apparent by now, that I'm a complex personality and have many interests. Do you? I'm not searching for my "twin" but a compatible soul.

For music, I enjoy almost all types. But you won't find much twangy country, head banging rock n roll nor rap in my collection.
I would love to meet a wonderful man where we could mutually appreciate each other. My fantasy is to become that amazing, supportive woman behind her talented, amazing guy. The right man would get pampered and respected. I want a true partnership.

I used to be an athlete but recent injuries have slowed me down a bit. I'm still healing broken foot so my serious hiking, power-walking, dancing days are stymied. I love to fish, which is a bit strange as I'm against killing creatures on the whole and..I like to fire arms, mostly at targets and fruit. I love to swim and other activities.
...Life is wonderful and I'm ready to share it w/someone wonderful.

PS Contrary to appearances in my photo, I'm not a pole dancer, it's a wooden pole I use to exercise with.

Initially communicate via email, then phone then maybe set something casual at first. coffee, meet at a park, go to a museum.... somewhere where conversation is possible.
