In simplest terms I've come to the conclusion that for all the direct searching and emailing and everything else that this site has to offer it's all going to come down to dumb luck and a twist of fate. Do I like stepping out, sure, do I like staying in you bet, am I sensual/sweet and caring: you know it! I'm also a neat freak and highly communicative.

Yet for me: the what, where and why pales in comparrison to the simple desire of wanting the experience of being with you. To be in your presence, to see your eyes sparkle and your face smile. To hear you laugh and be able to hold you close. To be able to blend with your spirituality and humanity as a whole. Yeah I'm a hopeless romantic that way. I'm a true blue Pisces, I couldn't change these aspects of my personality and spirit if I tried, I'm simply hard wired that way.

What else about me: I've been a non stop adventurer ever since my parent's let me ride my bike off the block. I'm always up for a good road trip or weekend getaway, week long vacation when possible. There's just something so invigorating, not too mention liberating, about being away from home and simply living it up as best as possible. I drove cross country twice before the age of 25, spent a month in France once although I can't speak a word of French, done the Vegas thing, The Florida thing, the Vermont, NH, MA thing as well. I've been to the Grand Canyon, Crater Lake and Bar Harbor/Cadillac Mountain, St. Marteen to name a few well known places as well as dozens of lesser know places naturally. It was all great fun..and very pleasant memories to boot....yet for me it's always the person/people I'm travleing with that makes all the difference in the world...might you agree?

Looking back: I've run the gambit of dating from HELL NO to a second date all the way to living together/being together for over 5 years.

Looking forward: I long for a woman who knows how to accentuate herself and all of her natural abilities. Someone who's sweet and sensous and supportive yet not a total softy. I long to lose myself in your scent. Someone who's comfortable with PDA whenever the desire strikes you, and if you should genuinely enjoy cooking, preparing food for your man, I'll take care of every single spider and creepy crawler that may ever cross your path and I'm sure much much more.

Regarding the subject of children and parenthood: I'm on the fence about having children of my own..however should you already have children....let's just say I'm more likely to take on the role of a uncle more so than a Father. It's my belief that you only get 1 Mother and 1 Father regardless of how that actually plays out. Thus: I will attempt to advise, help out where I can and such, yet your child's Dad is his Dad...What I'm trying to convey here is that should you and I really work well 1st then I will certainly do what I can to adjust to them 2nd.


Now that, that's out of the way...what do I want....

I long to be a couple, not 2 people together yet lacking synergy. I want to be the blanket you drape upon yourself when you're in need of warmth when you're chilly....The strong shoulders for you to lean on when you're having a bad day, a hand to hold as we stroll down the road of life each and every day.

I want to be in a relationship that's active and creative vs. timid and passive...sexy and sexual as apposed to bland,repetitive and inevitably boring...

I WANT TO FEEL THE RUSH OF BEING ALIVE as apposed to merely passing through.

I long to build scrapbooks (or I suppose digital files--lol) of photos capturing the places and moments--LIFE--that we share together and of course view them from time to time. I long to have a relationship that is communicative and consistantly reinforcing our bonds of trust. I long to be with someone who embraces who they've been, who they are as well as who they're on their to way to becoming.

I want "US" to be social and to genuinely function as part of a neighborhood. Hosting when possible, visiting when requested as apposed to hermits who never see another soul. My family is now scattered all over the northeast and my parents are retired full time in Florida yet I still have fond memories of when we were all "closer". Should your family have this "closeness" to offer that would be yet another benefit I would openly embrace as well.

Some have said that I want too much? To them I say you're entitled to your opinion, but too me it's all about striving to live a better/fuller life through effort and action. To strive for solid emotional, spiritual, physical, financial and let us not forget sexual health. To be friendly and spread a smile everywhere I/we go.

I live (rent) in Stamford, Ct right now yet would certainly consider moving to wherever you are should the pull of love and desire be that great. For being with you in person, being side by side, hand in hand, eyes locked, smiles grinning is where I long to be.........what I strive to accomplish.

Last but not least I believe that chivalry is a way of life, NOT a means to an end. The same goes for manners and respect towards others: especially one's elders. Respect for nature be it plants, trees, soil, water, animals (domesticated and wild) are a daily constant for me as well.

I titled myself: Diamond In The Rough...for yeah I'm single and I'm sure to be rustier than I think...yet a little polishing here, some TLC there and I'm quite certain that I'll shine right up and sparkle........just for you...
