I am not really sure how I feel about this whole "online" thing, but I don't want to limit myself to meeting people in bars or chance encounters, so here I am.

Like most people in San Diego, I like to play outside...ride bikes, play bocci ball, try to surf, snowboard, etc. I live about a block from the beach and try to head down there as often as possible. I just like being outside in general, even if that means sitting and drinking coffee on my patio.

I was born in an igloo in Alaska, but was raised in a small town in Northern California. I went to school at UCSB where I met some of my favorite people in the world. I now work in International Education and am considering going back to school.

I am honest, random, witty, and sarcastic. I definitely have a self-deprecating, and sometimes irreverent, sense of humor. I refuse to believe that being mature and having your act together is synonymous with being stuffy and boring. I'm looking for someone who is secure enough with himself to be goofy every once in a while, but can also be serious when need be...

I'm not too into the downtown scene, I'll go every once in a while, but I'd rather hit up a dive bar, see a live show, or go out to dinner. Or, I am perfectly fine staying in, cooking dinner and hanging out.

DISLIKES: arrogance, douchebaggery, tandem bikes, uncomfortable shoes, self-entitlement, dudes in designer jeans w/ butt-flaps or bedazzled Ed Hardy gear, phrases like "where's the after-party?".

These profile things tend to always be a bit generic, I mean, it seems like everyone on this site likes "travel, music, and art", blah blah blah, but if you consider yourself to be intelligent, down to earth, and humorous, just say hi. That's all I got for now. Holler.

Something simple at first. Coffee, tea, a mellow happy hour, sit on a bench by the beach, whatever... See if there's chemistry and go from there.
