My vacation was a washout this week. I went on a couple of wet bike rides while my car was in the shop. I also watched a lot of TV and DVD’s . It was awesome.

It made me realize that I wish that I had someone to go on vacation with next time instead of wasting my time on a staycation. I also realized that I’m a lot like the character Ted on “How I Met Your Mother” We’re on the same quest to find true love that always seems to elude us.
Another character that I relate to is Aiden on Sex In The City. Like Aiden , I consider myself a creative wood worker who is easy to get along with. Unlike Aiden I wouldn’t be interested in Carrie. Kari on Mythbusters, yes! Carrie Bradshaw, No!

Those Bridezillas and Real House Wifes really turn my stomach with their spoiled narcissistic personalities. With the exception of Jaqcueline. She’ll do just fine.

I also rented Nick and Norah’s Infinite Play list. Norah is my new dream girl. I need a 30 something version of Norah to rock out with.

Basically I want to meet an authentic and genuine young lady who is down for the long haul. Not some selfish brat with delusions of autonomy who is only looking for the next bigger better deal.

I prefer casual first dates. Something simple like pizza or hibachi. Anything other than a movie. Two hours of silence with a stranger is weird. Let's go dutch until we know that we like each other. I don't want to buy your friendship. Actually it's to weed out the ladies just looking for free dinner and have no interest in dating. They always run up the biggest tabs.
