Yes, I have my doctorate, but no need to worry...I have my share of "blonde" moments. I'm really just a regular gal. I'm looking for a man who isn't intimidated by my degree or ability to take care of myself and my children. I know what I want in my life and what I will accept, put up with, whatever you want to call it. This may seem harsh but I see it as simply being honest.

It's been a tough year for me and the kids but I'm praying we are on the downhill slide and things will get easier. The kids are happy and that's good enough for me. I try to keep the drama in my life to a minimum but the reality is that I have 2 children - a preteen girl and a boy finishing elementary school. (Is there really anybody with no drama in their life???)

I like to read and spend time with my children. We like the pool and beach in the summer and are hoping to take a trip to the mountains this winter.

My goals are to be the best mother I can be for my children and create a new life for us. I am looking for someone who will love my kids and me as we are. I am very independent and able to take care of myself. But it would be nice to have someone to talk to and spend time with and to take care of me once in a while. I'm not in a hurry...I'm looking for a best friend first. I like romance but it's been so long since I've experienced any that I'm a little rusty. I like Christian music, country music, and "malt shop oldies" (my kids love these too). I like chick flicks and action movies...no gory movies. I also find myself watching the Disney channel when the kids aren't even in the room...I even sing along (not necessarily on key) with Hannah Montana!

I'm not petite...it's a little hard to be at 5'9" tall. I am working on taking care of myself but I'm not an exercise fanatic. I enjoy walking...we take the dog on a walk most every night. It seems she has learned to tell time and generally pesters us until we do. :) I also like to jump on the trampoline with the kids...no flips or anything like that, but we have fun...and that's what counts.

Lunch, dinner, dessert. I'm pretty open to suggestions. I think it would be nice to go somewhere that we can talk and get to know one another more.
