I am confident, secure, active, fun loving, emotionally stable and very passionate; neither jealous or possessive. I am assertive and know what I want, yet, I try to negotiate mutually satisfactory compromises if there are conflicts. I do not like to "fight" or argue with my partner; I may respectfully disagree. A partnership for the other's needs, aspirations and dreams; working towards common goals as equal partners. I am very affectionate but not smothering.

I have always been open to a permanent, monogamous relationship, but not desperate. I am alone, however, not lonely; available but not desperate. I should be right for her, she likewise for me.

Through experience, I have found that quite a number of people are a tad immature and irresponsible for me. They should get their childhood out of their systems, but not on my clock. There is a distinction to be made here between fun-loving, young-at-heart / exuberant, spontaneous and irresponsible / immature / needy / demanding / controlling.

The guiding philosophies in my life are:

- Others may not know what you did today, but you still have to face yourself in the mirror every morning

- Don't wait for a stranger to say Hi; it is amazing how many people light up when you say 'Have a great day' or "Hi'

- No matter how dark or desperate the situation seems at the moment, there is always someone else who has endured more and came out the better for it

ps - I view this forum as not far removed from a chance encounter in public: simply a manner of "meeting". Consequently I am NOT interested in endless emails that go nowhere.
