Love my kids, I have three little 'uns - I started late. I see them every other weekend and do a couple of school runs, so you must be adaptable. I'm tied geographically as I don't want to move away from my children, I want to be part of their lives. Music? I like all styles, I play guitar a bit. I am a Saturday Guardian reader, I read the news online the rest of the week. I love travel and have lived abroad for a number of years.
I have to say I appreciate someone who can spell. So many profiles here contain txt spk, I would prefer to meet someone who likes and uses real words. Don't want to sound snobbish, (see, look at my grammar) but it does drive me a bit crazy. I use real words when I text, the phone has the predictive thingy, so why abbreviate everything? Unless you have a faulty keyboard? :-) And those animated things annoy me as well, oh dear..... And if I have typos, I blame it on using a laptop in poor lighting :-)
There may be plenty of fish, but sometimes it's hard to muster the confidence to push your boat out there again to look.
I am a chubby glasses-wearing guy who looks, acts and feels younger (despite my Meldrew-esque spelling rant), most of my friends are in their 30's and 40's. Not much of a drinker, though I enjoy sharing a bottle of wine and I'm not into clubs. Been there, done that and got stains on the t-shirt :-)
I'm not religious, but I am interested in Taoism and Buddhism. The Kadampa World Peace Temple in Ulverston is an amazing place.
I enjoy cooking, nothing fancy, but really enjoy making good food.
Would like to make friends first and then see what happens from there...

I am fishing, but just peeking in the pool and sucking my maggot..... :-) I think that's what anglers do, isn't it? I'd never actually suck a maggot, just in case your first date answer is to go fishing...... |
