Hello, I am retired now from teaching public school art, but still active creating art. I like to try new techniques and materials and I like to combine collage with painting. I have an online art group where we swap all sorts of art projects, and I co-own and teach at a local art group where we have group meetings, workshops, and classes on a variety of art media. Art is my hobby now, but I still have goals for myself with it. I haven't been painting and showing any of my work for awhile, and now I am excited to be doing that again. I enjoy all sorts of arts and crafts, home decorating, sewing, card games, some TV, candlelit dinners, fireplaces, wine and roses, and cold nights in a warm bed, being with friends, laughing and joking, attending church, and just going out. My friends and I love to meet for some fun times, eating, laughing, and drinking a little wine! My art friends and I like to go to art shows and support our fellow artists, dine out or in, share our art ideas, and our art experiences.
I always enjoy time with my family when we can get together. I am very loving, kind, compassionate, truthful, and excited to meet someone new. I am very romantic and I love sweet little notes, kissing and cuddling, and whispering in your ear, and I like to laugh and share a private joke with my special someone, and get lost in your eyes, and I will only have eyes for you no matter how many people may be in the room. If your desire is for a one man woman then I am the girl for you! I was married and lost my DH to cancer and have been single for a long time now, and just recently started to date. I am a wonderful person (just ask me!), and I enjoy a variety of activities including camping, nature, sunsets, museums, family, meeting new people, weekend get aways, junk shops and looking for found treasures. I love all sorts of ethnic foods, but especially Mexican, and Thai, and of course a good steak. I also enjoy cooking light at home and entertaining.

I really enjoy a good action movie like National Treasure, or a beautiful love story as in The Notebook. I like to read, mostly art related books and magazines, but I also enjoy a good novel. When it comes to music, I listen to it all the time, but love live music best. I like light rock, pop, jazz, some country, blues, and I like all sorts of instrumental and new age music.

For a first date, I would like to meet you at a small restaurant. Maybe we could meet at a place that is off the beaten path for a long lunch, or an equally long dinner. Some place that is not too noisy so that we can have plenty of good conversation. Maybe we will have a drink, a nice meal, and top it off with a special dessert to mark the beginning of a wonderful new friendship. At the end of our time together, I would like to go away feeling that I had made a positive step in connecting with a special person.
