i am a single dad, looking for that special someone. i enjoy spending time with my kids, working on cars (for fun, not because i have to), and also enjoy electronics work. i am currently working in research and depelopment and hope to finish my degree. i grew up "old school" and that usually throws women off, by that i mean that i still believe in opening doors for women and things of that nature. however i do believe men and women are equals.i am a self admitted dork, having fun is essential, reguardless of possible embarassment. i love my cheesball movies, bruce campbell is my personal hero. some of my favorites include The Princess Bride, resident evil, army of darkness... anything sci-fi and cheesy, i also enjoy a good "chick flick" now and then. i will freely admit to "leaking from the eye area" when watching really sad movies. if thats a problem, too bad for you. As far as music goes, i go through phases. I think every genre has some excellent music. at the moment i am more into rock but i also listen to classic rock, pop, rap, country, r&b, dance, even some metal. Good music is good music no matter who wrote or performed it.

on a first date, weather pemitting, i would like to picnic by the lake followed by walking, talking, and sitting on the beach for a nice sunset.Weather not permitting the above, i would like to go out for a nice meal and conversation, then if things go well we could decide on another activity,(not a movie, only because on a first date i want to get to know you, not sit in the dark without speaking for two hours).
