61 years young and gainfully employed but looking forward to retirement. I was widowed last year. I consider myself sociable but not in need of constant companionship or attention. I am not the greatest conversationalist but have been asked to shut up a few times. I am not sure what relationship will best fit in my future but willing to explore all possibilities.
I am not a large crowd or party type person. I fancy myself a cook but as with most men I can overcook anything on a grill with some success and haven’t poisoned anyone, yet. I have open musical preferences except Rap with very limited ability, I can’t carry a tune. I prefer Sci-Fi, adventure or thriller entertainment but can understand the female need for chick flicks, I will not openly admit to shedding a tear at any movie. I am a try once in a while golfer, concerts or sporting events in person are over rated, most of the entertainment is in the crowd, you can see much more on the TV or the DVD if your interested in the venue. Water sports, sailing and swimming are my summertime endeavors with a healthy dose of home improvement projects at which I am most content and engaged and I have many to choose from. Wintertime was always a hibernate and watch TV time but I am endeavoring to maintain a more active life style so less TV and more activity is my new motto.

My present employment can be demanding and keeps me away from my home weekdays. I have given up the constant commuting and maintain an efficiency apartment during the week, it saves on my wear and tear but isn’t home. Alone is not a thing I do well but it will have to suffice for the present. I have forgotten how many decisions and choices life takes when you have to make them all by yourself.

My idea of a first date (I can’t believe I am trying to explain this) is an evening, dinner, movie or whatever fits the circumstances. If you find this as hard as I do, we got something in common, a start, probably, maybe, oh I don’t know.
