Not yet into retirement properly. Took up volunteer work and enjoy two to three days a week doing this. Used to be a first class cricket scorer and still love the game. Also enjoy rugby league and union as well as some other sports.Would love to travel, but it needs to be shared. Tried it on my own, but it was not fun. Came to Australia as an 11 year old from the UK. Went back in 2000 and although I enjoyed the trip as a tourist, could not live there. Best thing my parents did was to immigrate. Australia is a big country and I would like to see more of it. My two sons live in Brisbane and Darwin and each has one child. Hoping for another grandchild next year. Like to read, go to the occasional movie,likewise occasionally eat out whether it be lunch or dinner. Enjoy a dry white or merlot but do not agree with a red being served at room temperature in the Australian summer. Warm wine is yuk. Detest smoking. Like my home and garden to be clean, neat and tidy, but that does not mean spending all my time maintaining it. Been there, done that and found that there are plenty of other things to do at this time in life. I would like to do some of them with a like minded male. Like most women believe I could do with a few pounds off. Enjoy a little of most types of music, without being a devotee of any one type. Definately not, heavy metal or rap.

First date would be a get to know if you want there to be a second. Really a get to know each other occasion. Coffee in a public place followed by a walk maybe. The future beckons for everyone so to walk towards it with someone by your side sounds rather good. Learn from the past but do not let it spoil the future.
Also, I do know how to spell hopeful but found it had already been taken so I dropped the "e".
