I'm a very musical individual. My first love is and always will be Electronica, and for a time, I created and produced several of my own tracks, but I have recently turned to the world of alternative rock. I produce backing tracks, play keys and piano, sing lead and backup, and play guitar as well (though I am learning this instrument slowly but surely). I have two artist accounts on M_Y_S_P_A_C_E if you care to take a listen. The one for my electronic music ends in "/djsavra". The one for my ambient/piano music ends in "/michaelmasonclassical". And as soon as my band (name pending) finishes up some songs and has them recorded, I will be posting up the URL for that as well.

As far as my love life goes, I am not looking to get serious with anyone at the moment. But that also depends on who I have the opportunity of meeting. For now, I am just looking to have fun and make some new friends along the way. I can be wild one or tame depending on the given situation. I'm not your typical "nice guy." I can be feral and spontaneous, and I know how to have a good time, but I consider myself a gentleman--considerate and respectful, and with the right person, romantic. I can also just be a pleasurable, easy-going guy to be around.

I have a place of my own, and I have a reliable vehicle (for now), so distance isn't a HUGE issue. I am willing to at least go on a first date or casual outing despite how far away someone lives. I am still in the process of getting my Associate degree in audio production and music business, but I am taking a brief hiatus until I can figure out how I am going to continue to fund myself in this spiraling economy.

The first thing people usually notice about me (visually) is my hair. So if you're not into guys with like long, curly hair that sprouts out instead of down, then I probably won't be anything more to you than just a friend.

I love most kinds of music (the only exception being country), and I like to dance to house and hip-hop. I like a lot alternative and indie rock, but as I have stated before, my true passion is Electronica. If you're not sure what Electronica is, it's a catch-all, umbrella genre of music that includes House, Techno, Drum'n'bass, Ambient, Downtempo & Trip-Hop.

I don't get this section. Why? Because it makes the first date with every person I go out with predictable and boring. First dates are meant to be full of mystery and anticipation. I will say that I always do my best to make whoever I'm with comfortable on the first date (or hangout) and like to keep things casual (or at least at first). No sense in putting any more pressure and anxiety on this whole dating thing than there already is.

I will also say that I sometimes like to add a little spontaneity to the first meet-up, so if this intimidates you, you may want to look elsewhere. Doesn't happen all the time--it just depends on how things are going.
