Hey there, I'm Darren, pleased to meet you :)
So, a bit about me... Well, I'm a 29 year old father of one living in Bournemouth. I guess I'm a bit of a geek, but I've never transcended to full nerd levels, so I'm pretty happy about that. I'm certainly what they'd call 'cuddly', but that's something I've been working hard on, and have lost 2.5 stone in the last few months. My son Billy is now 5, going on 15, and lives with his mum during the week. That boy is the most important thing in my life, the only person on this planet that I'd take a bullet for.
After a fair period where I had little to no aspirations, I've begun taking steps to turn my life around and make something of myself. I've gone from being a welder for ten years, to now finding myself about to start the final year of a radio production degree and I've never been happier. I hope to end up running my own radio station one day, but in the meantime I'm just looking forward to seeing what comes next.
I have few hobbies, but many interests. I adore films and usually have a book on the go, but my one passion is music. It was music that got me into trying my hand at presenting on the radio. I'll listen to pretty much anything once, and have an extensive library of 22,000 mp3s, so there's bound to be something in there that you'll like :) My main musical love is punk, but to be honest it largely depends on the mood I'm in, for example, I've spent today listening to David Bowie, but fell asleep last night listening to an old metal band. I try to get to gigs whenever I can, but unfortunately haven't been to one for a while.
The blurb above this box is telling me to explain what makes me unique, but to be honest, I'm not sure. I like to think that I'm just a normal, down to earth bloke. I have a huge amount of love to give, and am an incredibly devoted and loyal person.
So feel free to drop me a line, I'd love to hear from you :)

My ideal first date would involve seeing a movie of your choice (I would pay, of course), followed by a meal in a lovely, quiet restaurant. If all goes to plan, we'd hit it off so well, and have so much to talk about, that the staff would end up having to shoo us out because the other customers had gone home an hour ago.
After that, weather permitting, we could go for a walk along the beach in the moonlight. If the weather was poor, then I would accompany you home safely, and make sure that we did the beach walk the next time. Hopefully, I'd get a goodnight kiss on the doorstep, and would go home a very happy man :)
