Hi and thanks for stopping by! Hard to describe yourself in a little box without actually speaking with someone. I am a much better speaking than I am at typing. It just seems so impersonal. Anyway, I will do my best to not make myself seem like a dumb ass! Just bear with me.
I Really like the outdoors and spend as much time as I can out in it and would really like to meet someone who is genuinely an outdoorsy kind of girl. I mean really, how can you live in Colorado and not enjoy the vast amount of country and wildlife that we are blessed with here, especially on the Western Slope. As much as I love Colorado I would like to do some traveling but haven't found the right person yet. I would like to go somewhere where the water is absolutely clear, the sun is warm and the drinks are cold. Speaking of drinks, I like beer! I do enjoy a beer here and there, mostly mostly microbrews and the like. I am not a big bar person, but do enjoy going out to shoot some pool or throw some darts just hanging and being stupid with people who don't judge.
I really like to cook, especially Chinese food. If I can fit in a wok I am going to try to cook the sucker. I can BBQ (seems to be a prerequisite to be a man) and will do it even if there is snow on the ground, the fire is hot right? I am also a pretty good camp cook and can do some cool things with a sharp willow over a fire or a dutch oven, whatever I've got handy. One of my favorite things to do is to pack into remote lakes and spend a day or two exploring and trying to catch a fish. Some of the most beautiful things that I have seen were sunrises and sunset at some of these lakes.
I don't know about you, but I really like all types of music. I prefer more rock than anything else, but do have about everything else on my Ipod. I really enjoy reading and find that it is a good way to keep the ol' grey matter functioning a little better.
I have been told that I am very funny but a bit sarcastic and can take a joke really well. I am a very nice person who is genuine and doesn't pretend just to impress. I am very patient and understanding with everyone, but especially so with kids. I am a single father of a 2 year old girl and a 7 year old boy and I love them very much (the court awarded me custody) and find that I genuinely enjoy being in the presence of children of all ages.
I am not looking for any weirdos! So if you are a psycho girl that talks to magic mountain monkey then I may not be for you! Anyone else is more than welcome.
