Hello, and welcome to my little corner of the internet. I'm Somewhat reluctant about this site as I just warped from the Ice Age to the Technological Age to discover online dating. (I'm not even a facebooker...I know!! i think i'm the only one left who hasn't succumbed to the call of the facebook nation) I've been single for a couple years and i'm looking for someone to connect with on a friendship level to see where it goes from there. I'm an aspiring chef and love to cook. The great chef Gordan Ramsay described my cooking as.. "inovative, stylish, and orgasmic"(ok,i made that part up) cooking has endless opportunities and possibilities just like life and thats what i love about it. there are few things i wouldn't try eating or cooking, and i would love to meet someone as adventurous when it comes to anything and everything. but if you are vegetarian or vegan i respect that too, i can still cook you something amazing. some foods i love are sushi, rissoto, duck, quiche and ommelttes, fresh breads and any kind of cheese (especially brie) the list goes on. i'm currently apprenticing to be a chef and hopefully in a couple years will be writing my red seal chef's papers, then i would like to travel the world a bit, work in different environments, then maybe open my own restaraunt. musically, i like everything except for a lot of top 40, much music stuff and country. mostly listen to hip-hop at the moment, but also like classic rock, punk, metal, hardcore, techno, jazz, you name it.

my qualities....
-somewhat more introverted and soft spoken, but can be more outgoing and social in other situations
-open minded/adventerous
-sarcastic/good humoured/bit of a geek once and a while
-spontaneous and random
-affectionate and cuddly
-patient and tolerant
-Well manered (moms love me..well most)
-more of a listener than a talker, but can keep a conversation
-very open,honest and loyal to those closest to me
-thoughtful and romantic, although everyone says that i truly am

favourite bands are minus the bear, doves, men women and children, the mars volta, at the drive in, led zeppelin, black rebel motorcycle club, hayden, circa survive, aesop rock, and you will know us by the trail of dead, finch, death cab for cutie, black keys, gotan project, thievery corporation, jamiroquai, the roots, the streets,bob dylan, neil young, tom waits, lots of 80's on hit wonder songs....just to name a bunch

Favourite T.V. shows are heroes, the big bang theory, it's always sunny in philadelphia, iron chef/iron chef america, hells kitchen, basically any food network shows, the office (british and american), flight of the conchords, dimitri martins important things, south park

qualities i look for...

down to earth and isn't self-absorbed and ignorant to the world around them
someone who isn't afraid to try new things
someone with strong ties to family and friends
someone who sticks to what they say they are going to do
honest and open about thoughts and feelings
also affectionate and cuddly
someone who likes to look nice but isn't obssesed with it(trust me, you look sexy in the morning too)
believes in a strong friendship as the basis for a deeper relationship
understanding,forgiving, doesn't hold a grudge (no one is perfect)
doesn't play head games
isn't coming out of a relationship and looking for a rebound.

Anything active and fun such as a bike ride and picnic, ice skating, mini-putt, canoeing/kyaking,go-karting, or tango/salsa dancing lessons, building snow men or snow forts then followed up by something chill and relaxing like grabbing a coffee/tea or bite to eat to allow for some conversating.
