Well here goes.... other than the news I'm not much of a reader. I enjoy movies, mostly comedies and adventures but I've been seen watching a romantic one on occasion, hahaha! I guess thats the scorpio in me. I have a teenage son who's my pride and joy and we both enjoy sports and other outdoor activities like golf, football(Chicago Bear fans), baseball(Cubbies), camping, canoeing, skiing, biking and just playing catch in the backyard. We recently moved down here from Illinois and starting a new life. As a musician I spend a lot of time in clubs but that's not to be confused with being a drunk. I take my job seriously and truely enjoy entertaining. I love performing whether its at a 3000 seat arena or around the campfire. I have long hair a little on the curly side which tends to make small minded people believe that I'm into drugs, especially since I play guitar. Let me stress right here that there's no room in my life for substance ABUSE of any kind. Being in my early 50's, my music preferences are classic rock, blues, folk and some country. But I do appreciate what is being offered nowadays as long as it isn't offensive.
I'm interested in a petite woman 5' to 5'5ish who feels as comfortable in stockings and heels as in a pair of jeans and sneakers. One who is confident with herself meeting other people and can handle the rigors of a musicians life. It's not all parties and concerts, there's a lot of down time rehearsing and whatnot, and a woman who understands that would be an angel. I'm looking to be inspired again, the trust and friendship of a good woman is invaluable to me. I believe life to be a 2 way street and you get out a relationship what you put into it. I give space just as I expect space to be afforded me. My shoulder is there to lean on just as I hope a sympathetic ear would be available for me. In the right relationship those things aren't given another thought, they just happen.
I feel that I'm starting to ramble but I think this is a good start, anything else I'll save for over dinner or just coffee. I know I checked "Friends" but dating isn't out of the question if I meet someone exceptional.

First date? Hmmmmm its been a while but I'm sure it's like riding a bike, haha! I believe I've been raised with good manners so things like opening doors and pulling out chairs is only natural for a gentleman. Meeting for a cup of coffee or a drink somewhere quiet would be appropriate. I've read a lot about walking on the beach but I've never done that. Anyone care to show me what the big deal is? ;-)
