I'm very outgoing. I don't know that I've ever met a stranger. I can be pretty goofy at times but I also like to be quiet and I know when to be serious. I have a dry and sarcastic (and sometimes weird) sense of humor. For instance, I love Christopher Guest movies and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. I love to laugh and try to do so as often as possible. Laughing out loud is one of my greatest joys in life. If I'm tired and I find something funny, I often end up in hysterics. If you can get me to laugh hard enough, I might snort. It's a genetic condition - I get it from my mother.

My family is important to me and we're very close. It's the same with my friends. I grew up in a house where everyone was musical and we listened to everything from Elvis to opera. I'm a singer, not professionally but was classically trained in opera. I can also play the piano, although not well since I'm so out of practice. So I love music and listen to just about everything. My favorite band of all time is The Cure. On my iPod right now- Korn, Rascal Flatts, Michael Jackson, Limp Bizkit, Ne-Yo, My Chemical Romance, The Clash, Nine Inch Nails, Kanye West, Benny Benassi, Cake, Elvis Costello, The Ramones, Ozzy Osbourne, Flo Rida . . . and of course The Cure.

I'm a writer, mostly poetry and short stories, and I've even had a couple things published. I'm addicted to books. I just can't get enough of them. Which is why my family curses my existence every time I move.

I have two cats who are like my children but I’m not a crazy cat lady. At least, no children have stood outside my house whispering or run past my house shrieking. I think that’s a good sign.

I love the snow, thunderstorms, shoes, my electric blanket, DVR, and Nancy Drew pc games (hey, they say 10 AND UP). I hate tomatoes, but I love salsa and other things made with tomatoes. Crazy, I know. I currently work in higher education (mostly legislative work) but have previously worked in corporate law and law enforcement.

I don't think I'm a typical girl. I like jeans and ponytails (although I also love to dress up). I hardly ever wear makeup unless there's a special occasion, like a date. :) I like to paint my toenails crazy colors. I grew up around cars and spent a lot of time at race tracks as a child - my dad is a retired NHRA drag racer - so I like going to car shows and the races. I can change a tire and check my own oil. I think tattoos are sexy. I have two discreetly placed tattoos and I plan to get at least one more. When in a relationship, I believe time apart makes for more meaningful time together. I love to spend time with my significant other but also like time on my own or with my friends. I don't believe that a couple should spend every waking minute with one another.

I'm looking for someone who is intellectually curious. Who enjoys just having fun, but who also knows when to be serious. I would like to find someone who enjoys the arts and reading, someone I can share and discuss these things with. I am looking to meet someone real, someone who is honest and sincere, and who is comfortable in his own skin.
