About Me
I remember a professor of mine once asking about our goals, and whether or not it's a bigger success to reach your goals or not to. I suppose it's an odd decision, but I prefer the latter. If you reach all your goals, you sold yourself short, and could have done more, and only through failure can some lessons be learned. I'd like to learn a dozen languages, win a Nobel Prize for literature, and finish more schooling, and then start again. I'd love to introduce myself one time as Professor such and such, but never make someone address me as such. I spend a lot of time writing, often times on napkins, receipt paper, or whatever I have closest to me at the time that I can scribble on between traffic lights. My interests in music are a bit odd, I'll admit, as most of my tastes suggest I'm much older than I really am, and quite possibly a drugged up hippie, which sadly, I was born too late to be. Wouldn't be the same now, so I figure not to go for it. Otherwise, I try my best to take the "carpe diem" idea close to heart, but figure why stop there? Without being overly emotional in a weepy sort of way, it's much more interesting to yourself and others to be as passionate as possible, and honest within it. Oh... and I can be longwinded, if that hasn't occured to you, but willing to spend equal time really listening. Even boring people can make really good characters for a short story.

I've been out of the "dating scene" for a while, taking care of my "children", as seen above. She's pretty sweet, but needs to start dropping some babies, pronto. Luckily, I don't feel the same about whoever it is I'm looking for. HA!

Just recently moved back into Georgia, and catching up on a lot of mingling and dancing, both of which are nearly non-existent where our horse farm is. I don't crave attention, but have no shame either. If you ever catch me blushing I must have done something ridiculous to the point of foolishness. Hey... I make mistakes too, but have an exceptionally few regrets.

Without being too open, I suppose I'm here because I miss being a boyfriend. Like most people I suppose, a friend suggested this as something new and entertaining to keep me from thinking how difficult it is to meet someone you genuinely would like to get to know. I make friends easily and meet a lot of people, but I never met a girlfriend in a bar, and never intend to. Then again... if any of this actually works, we'll have to come up with a really exotic and clever story about how we "really" met.

I've been both fortunate and overwhelmed by my teachers of love, some truly great, some disappointing in their beliefs, and some that I've never even met. I have been a child of romance for longer than I could dare to remember and place such importance on it that sometimes it seems it could not even be real, except for those few perfect moments that we find from time to time an try our best to keep until we find the next. I believe in some things that are uncommon to common thought, and hope with all that in the fine line between confidence and arrogance, I can continue walking on the right side. I hope I can never stop learning where that is.

And that, I think, is quite more than enough for now...and now, it is your turn. Obviously, I don't much care for one-liners, unless they are particularly clever and well-crafted. Good luck.

First Date
Something unexpected, which would defeat the point of me explaining.

Recent Edit (11/23): had some great news recently, and planning on celebrating with a nice dinner and something fun, but.... I am without a date. Thought it would be fun to see if the whole "match percent" thing has anything to it. So, let's see what happens, and if nothing else, it'll be fun to get out for a night and dress up a bit. In real need of a cultured night out.
