While I am witty and easily show empathy, my creative energy strongly inspires and colors many aspects of my life. It informs my career, as well as my many interests.

Music is a large part of life. Since I grew up on classic rock, I still tend to favor it. My iPod is always with me, filled with The Rolling Stones, The Black Crowes, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Ben Harper, Aerosmith, Jeff Buckley, CCR, and Guns and Roses. I still have my record collection, which I still get to spin on my record player.

Besides music, my next passion is writing, which probably comes from my love of reading. While I like to read Jack Kerouac, Luis Borges, William S. Burroughs and J. D. Salinger, my favorite author is Hunter S. Thompson.

Photography—especially black and white—is also one of my loves. And, just like I still play records, yes, some of my cameras still contain film.

Spending as much time as I can outdoors and active, I love to fish, camp and hike, bike, and run. Hitting the road with good friends and good food is great—and gives me something to write about!

Seeking a witty and creative woman, I like people who are well versed in literature and music. Always on the move, I like to be around an active person. While she may not be perfect, she does exercise and take care of herself.

Truthfully, I enjoy meeting new people who are creative and passionate about life. When I am looking for a match, I am attracted to her intelligence and knowledge. I enjoy exchanging ideas while possibly learning a thing or two along the way. Although I have a bit of a sarcastic side, I enjoy other quick-witted and sarcastic people.

for fun:
For me, free time is best spent in the company of a creative pursuit, whether I am taking pictures, in a bookstore for a classic to read, writing a story, song or poetry, listening and playing music. I also enjoy exercising, which I find relaxing.

my job:
I am one of those luck people who has taken my passion and followed it into a career as a chef. For the past 6 months, I have been a sous chef.

favorite things:
A fan of sushi, thin crust pizza and BBQ, although my list of favorite music could go on forever. It includes a lot of rock and roll, such as The Rolling Stones, Beatles, and Pearl Jam. My preferred TV is The Office and The Daily Show.

last read:
My reading is eclectic and I enjoy everything from a classic, like Dante’s Inferno, to music magazines, for example Rolling Stone. Besides those, I have also been reading The Rum Diaries and Gonzo, a book about Hunter S. Thompson.
