This is me.
My priorities are physical attraction, intellectual stimulation, mutual respect, honesty, and a strong emotional bond. I want a best friend to share life with. Someone who makes me laugh and enjoys/needs a warm hug. I like to embrace life, take in all of our planet’s beauty, live an adventuresome existence (sailing the Caribbean, hiking the Swiss Alps, exploring the secret treasures of Shanghai) but still take time to read a book or ponder the universe. I love the outdoors and being active, am incredibly curious about everything (at times annoyingly so), and feel I can succeed at anything. I'm very open to trying new things and mastering new skills (next up: getting my sea captain’s license, learning to kiteboard). I love traveling and anything water-related. I’d choose a small hotel room with a stunning view over a large suite with none. I prefer a sweat-inducing hike through spectacular scenery over a thought-provoking stroll through an acclaimed museum (though both are nice). I’d rather watch a sunset at the beach than a ball game on TV. You’ll rarely find me in a bar or a church, though I do enjoy the occasional drink when out to dinner and do have my own beliefs. I am tall (6’1” – 172 lbs) with a well-toned slender physique. But if you are looking for a muscular jock-type, I’m not him!

My passions include travel, big power and sailboats (I bareboat charter regularly and would like to sail off for a few months someday), racquetball, kayaking, hiking, photography, books and concerts. I'm happy walking woods or beach, cooking or eating a memorable meal, curling up in bed with someone I love to watch a movie - or ignoring it. I'm smart (MENSA dropout), easy-going and open, honest to a fault, a bit of a renegade (in a good way!), pack a robust sense of humor and try not to take life too seriously. My job is important (I have my own biz), but not the center of my universe (that could be you). I'm handsome, reliable, empathetic, in great physical condition (slender and fit), and quick with a smile. I’ve a good heart and enjoy life much more when I have someone with whom to share it.
