Life is too short to be weighed down by little frustrations, and too long to not take seriously the endeavor of learning its important lessons.

I believe the universe is unfolding exactly as it should. I see beauty everywhere and I continually strive to contribute to that beauty. I don't want to come across as flip or trite. Bad things do happen. It's just that I approach them as lessons to be learned. And I have indeed found that I tend to come through stronger (humbler, more compassionate) for the experience.

I live in Aptos, which is a great beach side community. I teach in Watsonville, which is a culturally rich rural agricultural area. I love teaching. It's hard work, for little pay, but it definitely fulfills me.

I've been divorced for about 2 year but I've only dated a bit, partly due to allowing recovery time, partly due to being extremely busy. I have two amazing daughters, ages 4 and 6.

I like to do all kinds of things, from fancy and formal, to mellow and casual. I am very social; I cherish the love and warmth of my friendships.

Ultimately, I'd like to get into a long term relationship. I'm not one to force things though, or close off options prematurely. I guess I'm willing to let it be whatever it is...and see where it takes us.

First dates usually go best with food and drink. It gives you something to do while allowing people to get to now one another. I love good food, so a well chosen venue also allows for a shared pleasurable experience.
