I understand what girls mean when they say a guy is “too nice” – it means they don’t want a doormat, they want a strong man with good boundaries. Since this is hard to find, it’s usually a choice between ‘too nice’ and ‘too mean’ for women. I’m here to tell you that it’s a hard thing to balance, but I’ve got it down. I treat everyone with kindness until the first time they act inappropriately to me (or to you) in which case I will pull them up short and let them know that I won’t allow that kind of treatment. Think of me as your tame Rottweiler ;)

I have a great job that I love, with a great future. I own my own clean, comfortable home in Round Rock and live by myself. I love cooking, movies, hiking, motorcycles and having a bunch of friends over for game nights, usually poker. I like to dance, or rather I think I'd like dancing. I took salsa classes for about 6 months at Go Dance but I've only been out on the dance floor a few times. I'm open to learning how to dance to any kind of music.

I also love to travel, sometimes on the spur of the moment – would you like to come with me next time? I usually spend my vacations each year going out of the country. I've traveled around Europe a bit, half of my family is there (I’m German and Black). I've also been to India for work six weeks last year and most recently (October) visited Japan for a week, staying at a friend’s home there. I've gone back to Japan a few times to visit my host family from I studied abroad in college.

I am loyal and honest and have a very playful personality - I love to joke around and laugh. I’m very low drama, and don’t like to fight or argue. I recently heard someone recommend that you never go to bed upset with your significant other and I think that's a great philosophy.

I am very affectionate and like to do small things like buy flowers or pick up something than I know may make you happy. I do compliment often and I'm very appreciative when you do small things for me in return. If you ask me to accompany you somewhere you find interesting, I will go even if I think I don't care for it because, who knows, I just might come back with a new interest! If it’s important to you, it’s important to me. End of story.
