Most of my youth was spent growing up all over the world as my parents’ job took me just about everywhere. I’m here to stay in L.A. and can’t keep myself away from the ocean. While I have a lot of friends all over the world, I grew up with a twin brother (he’s in D.C. now) who was, and still is, my best friend, which has made me into the type of person that prefers a few very close friends rather than a lot of semi-close friends. That also means that I treat the girl I’m with better than anyone else around me.

I like taking care of a girl, especially if she doesn’t need to be taken care of. Physically I’m attracted to dark haired girls but in the end I’ve found myself attracted to anyone who I have a real-life connection with (which doesn’t work so well online until you meet in person). I appreciate a girly-girl and find myself physically attracted to that type of girl, but again, the connection usually means more than anything.

And I have the most fun in life when I’m doing something physically stimulating. I spend most of my day at work doing math and logic, so to experience surfing big waves, running/playing soccer, kissing, dancing/clubbing, playing drums, hiking, etc. are all examples of a real rush of excitement and good feelings that bring me happiness.

I live up to the stereotype of a Libra in that I am always concerned about making everyone around me happy even if it means sacrificing my own happiness.

It seems everyone enjoys the same things like travel, music, movies, etc. but it’s easy for me – I enjoy things that other people enjoy – anything can be exciting especially if you’re around someone who is passionate about something. So all the standard stuff applies, but surprise me with something you like and I might just like it too. But as far as travel - India, Toronto, Scotland, New Zealand and South Africa were my favorite places - they seem to have it all. As an amateur music producer I enjoy the sounds of pop music, but not necessarily the music itself, and as a former drummer I tend to listen to the rhythm of music much more than anything else. Music is life to me and something that calms the soul and excites the moment, so it's always easy to relate on that level.

Others consistently describe me as extremely laid back, although I don’t feel that way inside.

I have a lot to talk about when it comes to understanding people, but not much to say when it comes to politics. I could talk about surfing a lot more than football, culture more than career, love more than hate, the future more than gossip, etc.

I love animals, especially dogs, but I’m allergic to cats. I'm also allergic to wool, so it's a good thing we all live in California :).

I’m 5'9", blond hair, blue eyes. While I used to be a nationally ranked athlete in hgih school I have an average size body with a relatively active life. I’m financially and emotionally stable but looking for someone to spend time with and see where it goes from there for the longer term. Although I’ve developed a stable and successful career that I'm good at and that I enjoy, I don’t particularly focus on it.

Things people like about me (and maybe you would too):
- Having spent my life around so many cultures I’m very understanding of the differences in people and relationships.
- I’m very flexible in life and with people as I’ve learned to accept change because I’ve had so much of it in my life.

Although it's been a while, I enjoy such events as Burning Man, Winter Music Conference, etc. and weekend trips to other cities is my latest favorite thing...
