Did you ever think you would find yourself here, judging each other on one inch thumbnail photos? You're doing it and I'm doing it - doesn't make it right, but not many alternatives out there. Would much prefer to meet in person to find if there is chemistry and a connection.

At this point in my life I am looking for a companion ~ someone to share spare time and great conversations with. To be quite honest, I am happy with my life, but there is something missing. I miss being part of a couple and having someone to go places with, not that I need someone to complete me, I just enjoy the closeness and intimacy that comes from being with your best friend.

I love to travel; lived outside of the country as a child and owned a travel agency before I started a family.

Of course my kids (teenagers) are my priority and my greatest sources of joy (and frustration sometimes), but it's all good. One off to college soon and the other two quickly will follow.

My faith is very important to me, but I am not a bible thumper. I would love to have someone to take that journey with.

My radio is mostly tuned to classic rock or country, but I can appreciate music of all kinds, even the occasional rap song (thanks to my kids), but definitely not my favorite genre.

I love to hop in the car and head towards the mountains with no particular destination in mind - looking to find a small town to explore or a hike to a remote waterfall, but much better to have someone to do it with.

A day spent on or near the water (fresh, salt or powder), is never a bad day!!!

The gym is a necessary evil for me. I go several times a week, but on the weekends prefer my workouts to come from nature and the great outdoors.

My friends describe me as fun and easy to be with. I guess that's true, I would describe myself as happy, easy going, loyal, affectionate, honest, intelligent, funny, and playful. I have a very low tolerance for deception and unnecessary drama - no game playing here. I suppose I am looking for similar characteristics in a match. So, if you can be in a relationship without losing who you are, if you are independent, happy, playful, passionate, a healthy and responsible human being, then I am looking for you!

First meeting should be pretty informal; a drink or coffee, just to see if there is chemistry and a reason for a second meeting. Then maybe we can go out for dinner, catch a movie, a sporting event, or a day hike - I truly believe the theory that you learn more about a person in an hour of play than a year of conversation. With any luck we will meet and make a connection, if not, hopefully we will have at least made a new friend.
