I'm pretty easy going and don't take myself too seriously. I like to see the humour in most situations, but can be serious and focused when it counts. I like to keep fit and hit the gym about 4 times a week, but I'm not obsessive about it. I like to cook (normal kind of food, nothing gourmet, but I'm always ready to try my hand at something new) I really like nature and being outside, kind to animals and children, and just generally try to treat people decently. Been living in Nanaimo for 2 years now but don't know many people outside of work. Not into the bar scene, but I do like pubs when I do head out. Quiet places where you can actually talk, and places with live music.
I would like to meet someone with similar interests, however, the differences between us is what makes life interesting. I guess the main thing is that we have a connection, something to build on. Dating at first, then if we complement each other, take it to the next level. Being friends first is a must. |

I'm pretty open on what to do for a first date. I think something low key, no pressure like meeting for coffee or a drink and a chance to talk to see if there is a connection. Never really saw the point in going to a movie on a first date, spend your first 2 hours together not speaking. Then again, it is a safe, no pressure kind of option. The main thing is that what I'm doing isn't as important as who I'm with. |
