First of all, I am NOT into cyber-relationships. I feel that if you want to meet someone, then let's meet! If you're looking to sit in front of your computer or talk on the phone all day - move on. With that said:

I'm a man who is easy going and nonjudgmental (try to be anyway) who's been divorced for over 12 years. I'm young-minded and bodied, physically active with an athletic build. At 56, I have an active lifestyle, with a 40's body and a 30's zest for life. I'm the type who's generally considered the go-to guy when there's a problem. I have discovered that my resilience and creativity, coupled with my ability to multitask, along with my communication skills, are remarkably effective at improving the lives of those around me.

I tend to care about the big picture. I'm comfortable with large, ambiguous issues where I have the opportunity to carefully weigh all of the variables involved in order to develop imaginative solutions to those complex problems. I'm strong and steady, not easily upset, relied upon for level-headed responses to unforeseen changes or problems, typically remaining calm and collected.

I'm very friendly, talkative, outgoing, and I try to be considerate of others feelings and perspectives, even when I don't agree with them. Having a big heart, I tend to trust people and sympathize with them easily, almost to a fault at times. I desire to provide an environment for others to be happy and to boost their self-confidence, so I work to build supportive networks among my friends, colleagues, and family members; often accepting a leadership role when offered the opportunity.

My friends see me as an empathetic and engaging person, socially well-adjusted and skilled at inspiring others to reach their goals. I am a creative, original thinker always willing to try new experiences.

I'm your typical upbeat personality, proud of the choices I've made and the life I lead. I'm am emotionally and psychologically stable, highly energetic, happy, secure, and very pleased with who and what I am and I'm solidly confident in myself without being arrogant or self-important. I am also an emotionally giving and honest person placing a high value on personal integrity and accountability.

I enjoy good broad-subject conversation leading to knowing the people I'm with better and leading to a higher level of rapport and mutual understanding. I can hold my own in all conversations. I am an outgoing, funny (and sometimes silly), intelligent realist with a dash of caution and, as some of my friends say, a whole lot of daring. (Paradoxical isn't it.)

I see the glass half full about 90% of the time (down from my previous 95%; Oh No! I hope I'm not becoming a pessimist now-LOL!!!). The most important virtues to me are friendliness, charity, self-control, honesty, monogamy, hope, tolerance, patience, humility (except when doing this profile), kindness, empathy, contentment, compassion, and devotion. (Not in any specific order). My empathy and kindness spill over into a desire to make the world a better place.

I'm a pretty casual person relying on my trusty blue jeans and sweatshirt or tee shirt but I do clean up well and look pretty good in a tuxedo or suit. I love riding my Harley in the Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina countryside and have taken a few long trips as well.

I have traveled domestically and internationally a great deal. I have circled the Earth at least twice with stops and activities in Europe, the Orient, the Middle East (including Iraq, Kuwait, Egypt, and the Sinai), to name a few. I am a Vietnam and Iraq War (OIF 2) Veteran, I currently serve as a Special Forces Qualified Combat Medic and Flight Medic in the Army National Guard serving with my oldest son and two oldest daughters, (and am proud to still be serving). I live in Northern Va but I drill in Sandston, VA monthly, or more at times. Therefore, as one might come to understand, I'm still subject to deployments and temporary assignments as needed.

A light-hearted meeting at a coffee shop, deli for lunch, or dinner somewhere where we can talk and laugh without much interuption. I enjoy all cuisines of food. However, on the second date, the door is open for wild and crazy also. LOL!!
