I've been divorced about a year now and friends tell me that it's time to get out and "see whats out there". I live in a small town, which I love, but it does have it's drawbacks. I'm not looking for marriage; getting used to being single, but I miss having someone to have fun with.
I'm kind of a quiet person,until I feel comfortable with who I'm with. I'm a better listener than talker...a carry-over from my job.But I can hold my own in any conversation.
I've been home from Iraq a little over a year now; prefer my sand on a beach, surrounded by some kind of water, whether it's the Mississippi or an ocean.
I love listening to live music (Big Easy is one of my fav's) and dancing most of the night away...always plenty of energy left when the music stops.
This is all just a very small bit of information about me and what I like. Looking forward to hearing from others with some of the same interests or someone who would like to introduce me to something totally different. As far as the type of man I'm looking for...well, I don't know how to describe him but I think I'd recognize him when I meet him. It's just that "click" thing that everyone talks about but so very seldom encounters.

I know this is boring but I'd like to meet at a favorite place (yours or mine), have a drink and just talk. Where it goes from there is usually the most interesting part of the "getting to know you" phase.
