I am a Florida born native. I retired from law enforcement after 26 years of service. I had a very enjoyable and successful career there and made it up the ranks to command levels. Although retired from that career, I continue to work because I can only fish or play golf so many times before that too becomes work and I might as well get paid for working. I am now embarking on new adventures such as finishing my Master’s degree and exploring the possibilities of teaching at the high school or college level.

I am the father of three. I have two adult sons, ages 26 and 23 and one little princess, age 9. She lives with me full time so here is where many of you will stop reading. If you are looking for someone who is footloose and without obligations, that would not be me. If you look at this as a bonus, keep reading. I have a big heart and there is plenty of room in it for one special lady, lots of friends and my children, your children, my family, your family, my friends and yours.

I have many interests that range from outdoors activities; especially water based ones like boating, jet skis and fishing. I play golf and really enjoy it but my golfing skills mostly provide comedic relief for overly stressed serious golfers. I also enjoy genealogical research as far as indoors stuff. I don’t watch a lot of television these days but when I do it’s normally educational stuff and occasionally the CSI series, 24 or any well made movie. I miss having a motorcycle and will be on the road again when I find the right bike. I like country music and old southern rock.

I am not a big drinker. “Socially” seems to be a wide berth on these sites and I haven’t exactly figured out just what that means to most people. With me I’ll tell you that I will occasionally have a drink at social functions. On those occasions one or two drinks is my norm. Mostly, I am a “coffee-holic”. I really enjoy entertaining at home and that almost always consists of barbeques, the family friendly kind and transitioning to “grown-up” time later in the evening.

I am a loyal and dedicated friend, not the fair weather kind. I am looking for a best friend, lover and confidant. I am looking for a stable personality who is not into substance abuse, heavy drinking or 24-7 partying. I have never had a problem being faithful to my lady. When I am with someone my eyes, heart and all other parts are theirs and theirs alone.

People that don’t have some “baggage” must have lived for the past 20 years in a cave. I’m not looking for perfection however; if you are still hung up on your ex significant other, have doubts about your ability to start a new relationship with a clean slate, or have doubts about being part of a family with a child in the house, then I’m not the guy for you.
