I'm just writing a few things to get to use the site (curious-want to look around) and will come back later to write an in depth profile. I am a nursing student here in Vallejo, Ca. Am currently in an LVN program and then will jump into the second year of the RN program at Solano JC and should be done within the next 2 years. I have recovered some from really hard times where I lost everything from a hip replacement and divorce. I am better now (it's been 2 years.) The silver lining though is that I have the oportunity to start with a clean slate and rebuild a really good life the way I want it to be. My son who is 21 is in the Army and married out in Norht Carolina (sure do miss him--we are close). I'm pretty much debt free and have no obligations holding me down other than school. I think the best fist dates are with activities that are new to at least one of us, and that we both would enjoy. For example, I'm good at martial arts, so we could do a jujutsu class together (I think it's nice when one person knows about the subject so they could teach the other--not having to rely on a third party), or something like a cooking class or dance lesson. Just ideas. If that went well, we could continue on to dinner, a movie, etc. or just call it a day, depending on how it went.
