I'm a successful single woman with an active life. I'm loving where I am in my career right now and enjoy exploring the rich & vibrant cultures that the city, the country and the world have to offer. I enjoy men who have a strong sense of who they are. Integrity, family values, loyalty, positivity, the travel bug and mutual respect and support are important.
I'm a warm and genuine person with a big heart. I currently regularly do yoga, kayak, swim, play badminton, go on weekend getaways with friends, listen, have intelligent conversations, walk/hike, bake and hang out with other people's children. I like the arts (museums, photo galleries, african music (especially drumming), theatre, special interest events, musicals, film, comedy, all kinds of music and local talent; board games (Settlers, scrabble), foreign movies, exploring the city, everything chocolate, sushi, thai and lots of seafood, and spontaneous adventures. Dislikes include smoking, gambling, hunting, hockey, small yappy dogs, unauthenticity, and dishonesty.
I also like to get out of Canada at least once a year. I've lived and travelled through many places including England, NZ, Cuba, Oz, Italy, Bahamas and 10 countries in Africa. Friends and family consider me down-to-earth, a good listener as well as a good storyteller, social & fun, and able to easily integrate myself into a social gathering (even if I don't know a soul!). I try to live life and be 'present' everyday. I'm trying to be stress-free rather than stressed out, because life is too short to shortchange family and friends for the rat race. I guess we all go through that sometimes. I strive to have balance, not imbalance. Also, my preference is outside rather in (not all the time though.) I grew up in the country and will always be a country girl at heart. I'm the one who breathes a big sigh of relief when I see a vista of open fields, and I love to explore the back roads if there is a choice between that and the highway. There's a lot of 'green' in me. Overall, I just like to share moments, be spontaneous, fun-loving and celebrate life.

Hiking to a hidden waterfall and having a picnic lunch on sun-warmed rocks and then wading in the water. Trying all the martinis on the list at a cafe and then people- watching in the city (no driving allowed for that one.) Or snuggling on the couch with a movie. It could be whatever we choose that works for both of us.
