I have a very difficult time not making this part into the stereotypical cheesy dating site description, just for the hell of it.

I live in Ballard. After a year and a half, I am done with the d*mn hill of Phinney. This makes it much harder to not actually go on that bike ride I was thinking about. I travel quite a bit. Mostly for work, but now and then for fun. I have spend a few years of my life living overseas in one location or another.

I enjoy going out on the weekends. I am a fan of bourbon. I have a decent collection and am quite snobbish about it. I also think that****ails should be made correctly, and don't agree that a place is good because they pour strong drinks. I also brew beer. However, I can and DO drink gutter swill while throwing skeeball. I feel just as comfortable at a yuppy bar as I do at a dive.

I make it outside less than I should. I cycle, hike, camp, fish, and shoot. Ideally, you would also enjoy these things. I grew up in the Midwest. It is called pop, NOT soda. I can drive in the snow. I listen to music most of the day, but am more mainstream with my tastes (rock, alternative, ect.).

I am very mechanically inclined, and can fix just about anything. I love classic cars. I am rapidly getting annoyed with trying to think about stuff to put in this description. I am spontaneous. If we are dating, I may suddenly decide we NEED to fly to NYC (or anywhere else)for the weekend.

I love to learn. It does not really matter about what. I am obsessive about new hobbies. I will read a million things about it, spend crap loads of money, and months of time on something that I suddenly realized I wanted to do. I love debating... go ahead, try me.

As for you... You should be of any height. I really don't have a preference on that. 23-30 or so. No preference on race or religion. You must like the outdoors. Intelligent. This IS the biggest one. If you cannot hold an intelligent conversation, you are not for me.

I think a first date should be extreme. THE deciding factor in ever seeing each other again. You know, something that makes you think either "wow, this guy is #^&#ing out of his MIND" OR "wow, this guy is $^#&@ing out of his MIND, but how refreshing.."

Or something simple works.
