Thanks for stopping by to take a look. I enjoy playing guitar in my spare time and working on the house, going to the movies and concerts now and then. I have been very interested in developing a deeper understanding of myself for the last two and a half years. I have a daily meditation practice and also belong to a group that meets once a week for group meditation. I have found this more rewarding than just about any other activity I've ever done. Understanding now that peace is found within you and not outside of you makes all other activities and relationships profoundly more enjoyable! I have to agree with all the women that truthful communication is absolutely essential to the success of any relationship. I have found that people (both men and women) who have opinions that are written in stone tend to attract more conflict into their lives. Seems to me that people who are a little more open minded (neutral)tend to experience a little more peace :)

Does chemistry happen immediately or can it build over time? Here's my take on this. I believe that there are two kinds of chemistry. The superficial kind that happens right away and a deeper kind that develops over time. Love at first sight is what takes place between people when we subconsciously recognize what is familiar to us about the other person. Unfortunately for most of us, in the beginning, we only see the good aspects of the other, lest we forget that we ourselves always put our best foot forward in the beginning.

Here are some opinions that I have on what the keys to a lasting relationship are....(BTW: I haven't written these in stone :)
The keys to a lasting relationship are:
1. An understanding that there will be good times as well as bad times throughout the relationship.
2. To understand that what ever was unresolved in a past relationship will surely follow you right into the next one.
3. To understand that what ever is good about a relationship is a byproduct contributed by all persons involved.
4. To understand that what ever is bad about the relationship is NEVER just all the other persons fault.
5. A mutual agreement and understanding on the meaning of the word Intimacy.
6. That we are all interdependent upon each other.
