About Me
I retired from the Air Force but I still work in my given profession. The trip to St. Louis is a bit much but the quiet life is worth it. I appreciate the wide open spaces more nowadays but I can still be at home in a crowd.
I really don't have a real hobby anymore but I do maintain plenty of interests. I like to do a variety of things...I'm very open to new adventures. I will try most anything once...sea slugs for instance (there is a story there if you ask).
After I finish raising (if there is such a thing) my 13 yr old son I will determine where my life goes from there. Travel would be a big part of it. I would love to learn to play guitar. I started but time is at a premium and a new household and five acres requires much of my free time. I am doing quite a bit of home improvement which is enjoyable, satisfying, and yet a pain in the butt at times.
My bucket list is not as long as some I'm sure. The military allowed me to experience quite a bit. But skydiving is right at the top. If I won the lottery I would be living in the Virgin Islands in short order. St. John USVI is gorgeous and well worth the trip. It is snorkel and scuba heaven.
I love sports in particular hockey and baseball. In fact, I have a seat open for the entire Blues schedule. Who knows who could be filling that seat besides my son?
I am a rock n roller with a passion for blues and jazz. I dig me some classical at times as well. Stevie Ray Vaughan, Metallica, Led Zeppelin, for starters. I enjoy playing Guitar Hero and Rock Band with my son and his friends. Its the kid in me. I try not to take myself too serious anymore.
I am not sure where life is leading me. I know that I am not in control as I once thought. But I don't believe mine or anyone's destiny is fixed either. As for what I want in the rest of my time on this blue globe...as the saying goes: I'll know it when I see it.
I wish everyone the best luck in their romantic winds of fortune.
First Date
I think on a first date it would be best to keep things simple. Focus on the person you are going to be spending time with that day. A nice meal never hurts but you need to be able to interact and get to know one another comfortably. A nice stroll somewhere scenic afterwards would be a good nightcap.
