I'm originally from Newfoundland and have been living in Fort McMurray for almost 3 years. I have a job that I love and I think that makes all the difference when living up here. I'm not one of those people who spends all their time complaining about living here. My motto in life is to never stay somewhere that you're unhappy.

I love to travel. My goal is to visit at least one new country a year, but I've been to 7 so far in 2009. I love road trips and wish I was a little more outdoorsy. I would like to give white water rafting a try and I think I'm going to attempt skiing or snowboarding this winter. It's sad to live so close to the mountains and not take advantage of the great ski hills.

When I'm not traveling, I love to hang out and watch movies. I have a huge movie collection and am always adding to it. I will pretty much watch any type of movie, but have never been a fan of horror. I like finding new music, live shows and playing the occasional game of Rock Band. I love to read, but I don't get through as many books as I would like. I have been known to create random but delicious alcoholic concoctions that get more inventive the more I drink. I love to party, but don't go to the bars much in Fort Mac.

I don't know exactly what I'm hoping to find on this site. At the very least, I would love to meet some new people and expand my social circle in Fort Mac.
