About Me
This is tough, finding a mate here, especially if that's not someone's goal.

Historically, I used two approaches in these profiles: The funny one, and the honest, no-holds barred one. The first kind generated a little laugh, the second kind, a profile that made me look like a goof. When you talk about yourself honestly, no matter who you are, the Queen of England or Marisha Davenport, you still sound goofy. I could lie, but lies are found out very quicly. So how do you other people handle this situation for yourselves?

There are other problems as well. I found my soulmate on one of these sites. She was smart, witty, insightful, and she really liked me. We went out for two weeks and then I had to stop. I had enough of her. Not that she was boring, no; she was just too much in tune with me, and vice versa. In two weeks she had nothing to say to me and I nothing to her. It was emptily echoing and incredibly sanatorial. There was nothing.

Is it because I'm empty? You see, after a while when you go look to find yourself, sometimes a horrible thing happens: you find yourself. That's hell. You found yourself; now what? You know yourself inside out. No surprizes. No reason to get up in the morning, no reason to go to bed at night. Life really becomes just a series of movements you go through. A vegetable has a livelier time before it gets eaten than I.

It's the pits. If anyone has a cure: how to lose myself again, how to get excited about finding someone who cares, how to put options out and be excited about the prospects, please let me know. I won't be frugal with the rewards.

First Date
First date... does it matter? No. We could be swimming across Lake Ontario in January, or counting the snowflakes on the Ross Iceshield. We could bake in the bottomless pit of hell, or be massaging the feet of our very Lord, Jesus Christ. It's whom you do it with, not what you do.
