Wondering what the possibilities are these days of meeting a normal "gentleman". Then wondering to oneself what really defines normal? In this busy crazy world is there normal?

For those of you who have sent me abrupt messages about me not returning their message, I send you a special thank you. It is nice to see ones personality first hand!!! I do not feel the need to explain that I am possibly cooking, feeding my children or possibly even putting them to bed. Or whatever the case may be. I dont owe you an explanation. But I will be the first to apologize if i have left in the middle of a conversation).


Making a decision between choosing dating to long term and why I chose long term.
I guess we could put it down to I am not a serial dater. I am not looking for something to pass my time and have a different man take me out for a drink, dinner or whatever the case may be.


My children are very important to me, and I have raised them to be respectful to themselves, myself, other people and their property. If by chance you have children and you have not raised them with manners and respect, and more importantly, that they practice what they have learned, then keep on fishing...........
It is our duty to be a parent first and a friend to them second. Not saying that we cannot have a wonderful relationship with them, because when it comes right down to it. I am their HERO! Don't get me wrong, my children are not perfect, nor am I.
One last thing about children. They are my top priority, and if you as a person cannot be accepting of that, well I think that really there is no need to go any further than this page.....will finish this when i get a moment.



So about me......Its strange that when you actually have to sit down and describe oneself you become speechless. I am sure we see ourselves so much differently than others. But deep down inside, we do know the true us. Not the person whom you have to be or try to be when needed.
I have been employed with the same employer for the past 23 years, actually in a couple of months it will be 24! Where does the time go?
I have also dabbled with painting and had my own folk art studio where I taught folk art and whimsical painting. I cant say that it would be the art that I would hang on my walls, but it was fun, made new friends and it helped pay the bills :) These days the only painting I get done is with the kids, more holiday paintings. Pumpkins on canvas, framed that will be changed into Christmas pictures before long.
Doing jigsaw puzzles with my youngest along with learning that T-Rex is not the same as Brontosaurus!!! And you would think I was born yesterday!


Getting back to the "NORMAL" thing and speaking for myself, but am sure that many would agree with me. One thing that I would NOT consider normal or maybe I should use the word acceptable, would be a married man/woman/person (and yes that includes someone in any sort of committed relationship) on a singles dating sight. In my view you are not welcome and if you fall into that category by all means click the little x on the top right hand of your page. May I make a suggestion though, there are sites geared for cheaters. Google it or check out MSN Canada's homepage dated Nov.2/09

A first date to me should be something simple. Simple enough so that if neither of us is comfortable that it could be easily ended. There is nothing enjoyable about having to sit through a dinner, concert......and wanting to get the blazes out!
So I guess I would be referring to the first meeting and not first date.
