(First, those selections related to "I am looking for" are limiting. Therefore I put dating because I suppose that's where a relationship starts...however, I am looking for a long-term connection ultimately.)

I love to flirt playfully and the sensation this causes between a man and a woman is a must in my relationship. I absolutely must be outside and in a state of movement – favorite things are kayaking, hiking, playing in or on the water, camping, live sports, etc. I like to start and end my day on the back porch - in the morning drinking (strong) coffee and in the evening with (red) wine - having someone special to enjoy these moments would be so very nice. I prefer kick-around clothes and restaurants which are casual, yet it feels good to spiffy-up, especially for the appropriate person. I work each day in a traditional (8-5) professional capacity – this in no way defines who I am as it once did. I have many friends but only a very few really know me – of these are my two sisters. I "feel" live music….and the feeling of experiencing the sound up close and personal is fabulous. Lastly, I put up with you, and I love it, and have absolutely no second thoughts.

I will know you when I see you….you will be the one who fills me with dizzy desire every time I look at you. You are the one who passes through my thoughts constantly during the day when we are not together but wishing we were. You are my clown and we enjoy laughing almost more than any shared experience. You are very secure as to who you are, and a key part of that is having unique characteristics rather than only those of the pack. I can count on you and take comfort in the fact that in most cases I will know how you will react, regardless of whether I like the reaction. You are solid, warm, caring, and intelligent.…and you are very, very thankful that I am yours and you let me know this in many showy...yet more importantly, intimate ways. You also put up with me, hopefully with a smile.

We look at each other and are thankful we are no longer looking for someone. We understand how precious what we have is, and take every precaution to protect and preserve it. We are separate, but have no problem thinking not just about “me” but also “us”. Each is comfortable as to where they are in life - yet each feels it will get better and better because we are together. We put up with each other…..and we can laugh about it.
