I am an optimist. I tend to see the glass half full and I am thankful for where I am in my life right now. I have a job I enjoy doing, a wonderful family, and friends that are there for me when I need them.
Sure, it’s easy to let life get you down with all its challenges and disappointments, but I always seem to bounce back and tell myself, “I’m blessed and it could be worse.”

Okay, here’s what I’m looking for. I’d like to meet an intelligent, compassionate person who has the capacity to put themselves in another person’s shoes. These people just make the world a better place. I want a person who is willing to compromise in situations that do not require sacrificing personal beliefs, nor would they ask that of me. I need a person who is organized, dependable, light-hearted and funny, yet can hold a deep conversation and keep me mentally stimulated. Physical appearance is a plus but not a must. Outer beauty is what gets you interested but inner beauty is what keeps you there.

I’m a person who needs communication in a relationship. It’s far better to be up front and honest with someone than to hurt or surprise them later. I’d like to share my hopes and dreams with someone as well as the trivial details of an ordinary day. I’m a good listener and can put my opinions aside if you simply want to vent. Not everyone wants an answer to their problems but sometimes it’s nice to simply be heard. I’m caring and affectionate and will always do my best to let you know you’re appreciated.

I enjoy exercising and playing golf but I’m not a fanatic at either of them. Golf is a chance to be outdoors with friends and exercising a few times a week just makes me feel good. I occasionally play the guitar and enjoy the accomplishment of learning a new song. My job and finances are secure and I take pride if managing my money. Hopefully we share the same values in this area.

I enjoy reading realistic fiction books and one of my favorites has to be A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini. Recently I read the Twilight saga and found them to be quite entertaining. I have to admit that I enjoy watching mindless television sitcoms as well as reality shows such as Intervention and Obsessed. Those two alone will make you thankful for what you have.
