| | I am a fun, caring, affectionate woman and have room in my heart for the same kind of man. I have two grown and married daughters and one five year old daughter. They are the most important people in my life. I love to swim though it has been a while. I prefer the outdoors to indoors. I love teaching children to read but I am not a "teacher". I love to travel but don't have to. I have canoed for a week in Canada, collected pebbles on a beach in Ireland and seen Les Miserables in London. I love a physical challenge and pushing myself to the limit in the water or climbing a tree. Yes, even now. But a snuggle at home from someone who cares is better than all of that. In due time though, in due time.
I like cooking around a fire and interesting conversation. I am not into debating but have no problem with differences of opinion. I like having fun with friends and family. I aspire to be a published writer and wish I were a photographer. When my long distance friends miss me they watch a Julia Roberts movie. Her laugh reminds them of me. I guess I have a good laugh. I generally take things in stride. Stuff happens but in the end it is just stuff. I have a joy for life and try to let it carry me through the junk of life. I have a witty sense of humor but sometimes make dorky jokes.
I drink a little, occasionally, rarely. All that to say I am not interested in someone who drinks a lot.
My spiritual life is too important to me to try to express it fully here. I am a Christian who is outside of organized religion and would like to find someone with that in common or who might be open to exploring the option.
I work out of my home and take my daughter along with me when I have to meet clients, when she wants to. My work is flexible so I'm not tied to a j-o-b.
I have plenty to keep me busy but would like to have a serious, long term relationship (life long) with just the right guy. If you want to offer marriage before we know each other keep moving. If you are afraid of the M word relax, or keep moving. :)
I like guys with a sense of humor who are tender hearted and romantic. Confident, self-assured men impress me. Someone who loves the Lord and does not want to BE my lord should pursue me. |

For the first date it would be nice to be in an atmosphere where we can hear each other talk. Somewhere relaxing like the park where we can sit or walk and get to know each other. It is best if it is not hurried or scheduled. In the old days I liked sitting on the hood of a car with friends, hanging out until 1:00 a.m. Times have changed but you get the idea. |
