About Me
Where to start and where to end? I like the outdoors, fresh air, playing in the snow, skiing is a passion (powder, steeps)and a decent snowboarder too. I treasure my 2 kids(but share them half-time) so...trampolines,teaching them to ski well (so we can all get to the bumps and powder!),Drawing, checking homework, coaching kid's soccer, making chocolate chip cookies...so I endeavor to find someone to eat them with...and burn them off with! Attempting to instill political interests in a teenager (is this possible?)
I enjoy creating great food-cooking is so much more fun with two- good wine (or the odd single malt, micro-brew on the right occasion), always learning new things, staying in shape; I run regularly . Saving the world and bettering society would be good too!
I have always been financially independent (prefer to stay that way) and take pride in my successes. But, neither do I have too much pride that I won't stop to pick up litter in a park/playground. I'd like to do more volunteer work as the world seems to be loosing it's ability to care for one another. Is that a bit heavy for this venue??
I guess I am supposed to be promoting myself (a good resume is all that will get you the interview). Admit, I am not interested in extended e-communications- prefer to be, & meet a real person. In real life (modesty aside), I do justice to a revealing****ail dress (I see that has been auto-censored!lol) and heels, but also jeans and t-shirt, even hkg boots in the Mts. Not into excessive self-indulgence(ie: manicures or shopping) but value the way I look and feel. A triathlon now and then-because they're fun.
I have many active interests: the outdoors/fresh air in general(as above). The ballet or Symphony for a treat. I've done my share of home renos and landscaping and find it rewarding. I enjoy good, healthy food, but not obsessive. NOT much for TV.
I like doing nice little things for people, just to show I care (backrubs, foot messages, making a nice dinner, listening to your day, bring you a tea/beer/hot choco when you didn't expect it-but needed one), find it is the little things that make the difference and convey true caring.
I enjoy live music on occasion, from an obscure venue> the Commodore >Chan Center> to the Orpheum, but go infrequently enough that it is still exciting...a slow waltz in front of the fireplace by candle light is nice too...abit of a romantic I guess. I enjoy my neighbourhood and great neighbours, and my wonderful friends.
...I have an innate ability to mis-spell (not sure where that fits in, but its my biggest fault! so I'd like to get it out of the way). Well, I guess there might be another one somewhere..Actually, I am very good at laughing at myself. I like to be always learning. Work in academics and enjoy the mental stimulation.
I am adventurous, confident, energetic, and spontaneous, thoughtful, and occasionally- philosophical, analytical, yet fun, playful. I have a definite 'marshmallow' side (not in the physical sense) that cherishes intimate and romantic times, from stolen moments...to decadent hours...to blissful weekends. I am a good communicator, kind, generous. I like to bring a great cup of fresh coffee back to you in bed on a Sunday morning, read the paper or ***(if it is a beautiful morning, we can walk to the beach too).
I appreciate honest, good natured,'shiny-happy people'; I have an artistic side, occasionally paint and appreciate original art work. I love to laugh and even be silly. I enjoy the gala to camping on top of a mountain and seeing beautiful BC. Swimming in a clean lake is great. I enjoy learning about people and traveling to places less ventured. I value and strive to be environmentally and socially conscious & can be overly principled.
There is so much in life to appreciate. I like to make the best out of life, which means living life to the fullest, while still appreciating the 'small things' that make each day special. It is nice just to make someone's day a little brighter. ...and if you read all that, you must have some 'stick with it-ness!! Cheers!
First Date
A coffee, or a beer in a pub, why do they ask this? It is so irrelevant! If the interest is there, then a second (real date, as apposed to a meet & greet) might be a picnic or some live music..boarding/skiing even, dinners are nice but so formal.
