Shinning armor is no longer a requirement because I have found that the knight in a spotless armor knows very little about the battle... I am looking for someone who knows his way around the field. I am looking for someone who knows about the sacrafices and comprimises often made to attain ones goals. I want someone who will stand firm through all of life's storms.

I have been told that I am a good listener. I believe that good communication is vital to a successful relationship. I am looking for someone who can communicate and who is comfortable sharing his thoughts and feelings. I am looking for my best friend. I am faithful to the core and am looking for the same quality in my partner. I am looking for someone with a lifetime of experiences from which to draw wisedom. Someone willing to devote the rest of his life to getting to know me and allowing me to know him. Someone who is not done "growing" yet. I beleive that we can continue to grow and build upon ourselves forever.

I am committed to my faith and am active in my church. I am the proud mother of two wonderful children. One at home in high school and one in college. Longevity runs in my family - my grandparents are in their 90s and going strong. I consider myself truely blessed. However, when I say I am hoping to devote the rest of my life to loving someone - you may want to consider just how long "the rest" might be before responding!!! LOL!!!! One of my most favorite quotes: "Forever is a very long time, but NEVER is even longer..."

My family are most important to me and I am hoping to find someone to share my family with. I am rather independent. I work hard and take care of myself and my children.

I bought a 100+ year old house (three years ago). I love our home and enjoy working on it. There is alot of work to do, but every drop of sweat has been a labor of love. I enjoy working around the house - I even have my own set of power tools!!! ha!ha!ha! I like woking at things inside and out. I can find plenty to keep me busy...

I am NOT looking for someone to take care of me, rather someone to CARE FOR ME. Someone who will cherish me and who I can cherish. I love to laugh and joke - I have a great sence of humor - I have to. (When you get to know my family you will understand better...) :)

I enjoy entertaining - having friends/family over for dinner or to play cards or board games. Sometimes we play the Wii (now that can be a comical experience...!!! ha!ha!ha!).

I have a great many interests and am relatively easy to entertain. It is difficult to make this sound intelligent. I do hope that something I have said will spark an interest. First dates... EEEKKK!!! Can you think of anything more frightening? I have no problem talking, sharing, learning for hours - on the phone, via email, instant message with people I know. I can speak in front of hunderds of strangers about teaching techniques or some other subject in which I am versed. I love to debate and will spend hours preparing, but that first date.... UGH!!

I think a successful first date might involve dinner, or coffee somewhere neutral. After both are comfortable then perhaps a walk or some place to talk and get to know one another face-to-face. I don't know. After the ackwardness is gone - I believe we can surely come up with something... :)
