I'm a sweet girl, but sometimes a bit of a smartass, am outgoing, and also sometimes quiet. I like to laugh, often at myself. I am an independent, honest, strong-willed, thoughtful, curious, goofy, artistic, serious, funny and a "no games" type of gal. I can be blunt and a bit outspoken, especially if it's something I feel strongly about! I'm cuddly, but not clingy...yup, full of contradictions to keep things interesting, lol.

I always stop to pet random cats and doggies on the street. I'm often the one who spots an eagle or a deer first. I sing in the car, loudly, even when the windows are down, and yes I get caught out all the time doing this but it doesn't stop me.

I lead a fairly active lifestyle and work in the fitness industry. Now before you get all excited please realize this does not mean I am a perfect 10. I have my imperfections and have accepted them, so should you!


I love to travel and plan on doing much more of it in the near future, this means backpacking for long periods of time, through multiple countries, staying in hostels and really, really cheap hotels, periodically getting sick, trying weird foods, periodically drinking too much, getting lost in cities, getting robbed etc....all-inclusive banality has a time and place but it's not really traveling! Ultimately I wish to meet someone who can join me on these adventures, but it's not mandatory, you just need to be OK with me taking off for a couple months at a time!

I can be content curled up on the couch reading or whatever, for a little while but get me out near big trees or on a beach and I am happiest, these are my bliss! I don't have cable, I prefer movies and yes, I actually read books, real ones, with covers and everything.

I believe in good spelling (and yes you can spell avocadoes with an "e" so please stop emailing saying I spelled it wrong, how retentive can you guys get???)!

I try my best to choose my mood, every moment of every day. I choose to smile, laugh and be content.

I don't care what kind of car you drive or how much money you make. Designer clothes and labels don't interest me either. I appreciate curiosity, artistic creativity and "not normal" ideas about how to live a life. I'm excited by people with original thoughts and interests. I like quirky. Making me laugh is a must! I also have a soft spot for guys who can build things, fix things and generally be manly men, but don't worry, my car is running fine and I don't have any renovations in mind!

I hope you are funny and fun without being shallow. I hope you are tall (I like that) and most importantly I hope you have that sparkle in your eyes that tells me you are alive and loving it!

P.P.S. If you can't come up with anything more interesting to say in a note then "Hi, how are you?" then seriously, don't even bother writing.

Sorry, I am not a big fan of extended email and phone sessions. It's not that I'm in some big rush to get serious it's just I'd rather have a real life mental image of the person I am getting to know, also sometimes no matter how good the pictures are once you're there in person the chemistry just isn't happening, I figure it's good to know that sooner rather then later.

Coffee or tea seems ideal for first meetings, easy to walk away from at the end if that elusive magical spark is not there and easy to extend if it is!
