At a point in my life where I'm hoping to meet a man I can share my life with. Divorced and haven't been in any type of relationship for more than a year now. I'm funny, love to smile, enjoy meeting people and just hanging out...whether that be at home or out for the evening. I love to sing and love music (except for rap, which I do not consider music, but rather a form of communication). The pickins are slim in my area, so I'm hoping I can go this route to find a good man. I'm looking for an attractive, funny, intelligent, caring and laid-back kind of guy. Only those who are serious about finding a good woman need contact me, please. Oh, and I'm not looking for hooking up or one-night stands, just so we have that straight right off the bat. I'm a respectable person who was raised right by good parents. While I have my faults, I AM a Christian and I am looking for a Christian man to date. Last I checked, I'm a sinner saved by grace. It's important to me that I NOT go out with someone who will poke holes at my faith. However, I am fully prepared to defend my faith, if need be, and have been known to practice a little apologetics in my time. (Note: For those of you who do not know what the definition of apologetics is, it is basically the practice of defending the Christian faith and doctrine...not the offering of apologies for our beliefs). :O) I'm not a bible-thumper, but I'm not budging, either. lol

Anyhow, on a lighter note, I do like to do fun things, whether that be anything from a road trip in the country to playing Scrabble at the kitchen table. Wow...that can cover a lot of things! lol And I'm known to be quite the goofball. Sarcastic humor mixed with a little cornball. Oh...and I cook, too. :O) Usually Southern-style. You know...the BAD-FOR-YOU stuff (yeah right...my g-parents all lived to be ancient!). Yummy!

On a first date, I'd love to meet someone for lunch, preferably on my "turf" so that I'm not far from home. Somewhere we could sit and chat and get to know one another. We could have a glass of wine, even (if you'd rather not do lunch). I don't expect dinner at a five-star restaurant the first time we meet. Hey, wait, have I ever eaten at a five-star restaurant!??
